The multiple award-winning documentary ‘Andrea: Queen of Mantas’, based on the research of our Lead Scientist Dr. Andrea Marshall, has it’s US premier on Sunday May 2nd at 4 pm (West Coast) and 7 pm (East Coast) (and will be shown again on May 3rd on 11 pm and 2 am, respectively) on the Wild Kingdom series on Animal Planet. Check it out!
Learn more about Dr. Marshall and her research by checking out her biography on this site. You can also learn about current projects, reef manta rays, and the newly-described giant manta ray on our newly updated Manta Ray Research Page!
Help us ensure that Mozambican manta rays get the help they need: sign our petition(PDF) asking the national government to protect manta rays. You can also directly support Andrea’s work by making a donation (you can even sponsor a tag!), adopting a manta ray or buying one of our fantastic new research t-shirts.
Andrea lives at Casa Barry Lodge in magnificent Mozambique, an amazing holiday destination. Why not take a trip, attend one of her personal research presentations, then dive with the manta rays with Tofo Scuba? The Foundation is also partnered with a great volunteer organisation here in Tofo Beach, All Out Africa, so you can get involved with marine research and conservation. See more details on that program here.
